Introduction
Hello, my name is Phil Bloch.
Newly relocated to Maine, I recently played First Violin with the Bangor Symphony Orchestra for their season opener, I am exicted by new possibilities while still honoring existing commintments -- and having to revise and update all sorts of information!
This past year I did lots of orchestral work, as Prinicipal Second Violinist with the Keene Chamber Orchestra, directed by Eric Stumacher. Last fall I had the awesome experience of playing a very cool viola solo in an orchestration by Hugh Keelan of the spiritual "The Blind Man Sat on the Road and Cried."
I've also been playing a lot of jazz, on violin and viola, with Vol de Nuit, the Hot Club of Portland, and others.
